Mike Thomas DDS has cared for families in Arlington, Texas, since 1984. The practice liked the way its website looked and didn't want a new one.
So we did not redesign it. We rebuilt it to current standards and kept the look: the same styles, content and pictures, a little wider and with larger type for today's screens. The new site went live on Oct 21, 2026.

What We Did
Kept the Look
No redesign. The same styles, content and pictures, laid out wider and with larger type for current screens.
Rebuilt Mobile-First
The site now adapts to any screen, from phones to wide desktops, and loads faster in our lab tests (see the numbers above).
Secure by Default
Every page loads over HTTPS, and plain http:// addresses redirect to it. The site sends modern security headers, including HSTS and a Content Security Policy that blocks inline scripts.
Fixed What Was Broken
The old Smile Gallery needed the Flash Player, which no browser runs, so it showed no photos. It is now a simple grid of the same before-and-after photos. Broken third-party code went too: the old spam check, a map whose key Google rejected, and analytics that had shut down.
Accessibility Fixes
Better color contrast, visible keyboard focus, larger tap targets, headings in order and clear form error messages.
Structured Data for Search
Every page describes the practice to search engines as a dentist (schema.org), and service pages add breadcrumbs.
Old Addresses Still Work
Every page address from the old site still works, and retired addresses, the old domain and old image links redirect permanently to the right place.
Search Console and Bing
We set up Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools for the site and its old domain, at launch.
Newer Services Added
With the owner's approval, the existing pages now mention two newer services: digital smile design, so patients can preview a new smile before treatment, and crowns that are digitally scanned and milled.
