Go right to the Auto Installation section

Mails multiple emails from a list of email addresses, either entered on the form or taken from a mail list. The email is sent separately to each of the "to" addresses, rather than one email sent to a mail list. There are three files included in the Mailit package. Below is a brief summary of them:

mailit.txt - Info File.
mailit.pl - The Perl Script.
mailit.html - A sample HTML Mailit form page. Feel free to edit this or cut and paste it to a different HTML page.

Auto Installation

Make sure you are on the same server as your web site:

User Info

Enter your username and password (same as your FTP and email)

Username:
Password:

Virtual Hosting Accounts

Virtual Hosting accounts, enter your domain name here in the form "yourdomain.com".
Domain Name:

Install Location

Enter the directories for installing the scripts and the html pages. Defaults are in your cgi-bin directory for the scripts and your home directory for the HTML pages. If you don't know what to enter here, leave them blank.

Script Directory:
cgi-bin//mailit.pl

HTML Directory:
your_root//mailit.html

Mailit Options

These are options for configuring the script. Click on the link for each option to read about what it does. All of the options are defaulted to the most popular settings. If you don't understand what an option does, don't worry about it. Leave it set to the default setting.

Name of the maillist text file:
Replace the "YOUR_DIR/YOUR_MAIL_LIST" with the name of your home directory and the name of your mail list text file.
