: Make CGI Executable

After uploading files via FTP to your CGI-BIN directory you must change the file protection on the file to make it executable (chmod 711). Once the file has been made executable, subsequent uploads of the same filename do not require changing the file protection again. Use this form to make the files in your CGI-BIN directory executable.

Some CGI's request that you make certain files 755 or 711 or any number of combinations.  On our servers, only the first number matters.  You can use an FTP program to make these settings if necessary.

Make sure you are on the same server as your web site:

Enter your username and password: (same as your FTP and POP email)

Checking "All Files" will make all files in your /cgi-bin directory executable, recursing any subdirectories. If you want a single file changed which resides in your /cgi-bin directory, enter it in the "Single Filename" text box. If it resides in a subdirectory of your /cgi-bin, enter the directory name first (i.e. "subdir/script.cgi").
